Cultural Exploration is a unique 6-week series encompassing POT’s mission to preserve & celebrate culture. 

This series is for anyone with basic hand building experience, or who has at least taken Intro to Handbuilding with POT.

My practice is dedicated to revitalizing traditional Khmer ceramics, which is vital to the continuation of my culture and a form of resistance to the 1975 Cambodian genocide. I studied under 1 of 3 Cambodian ceramic masters who survived, and will share this knowledge with folks of all backgrounds to explore their own narratives. 

You’ll learn new surface decoration techniques & incorporate them into one larger piece, or multiple small pieces that explore a personal or cultural narrative.
