Khmer Ceramics

is an ancient traditional art that was almost lost during the 1975 Cambodian genocide.

The 2022 pieces were made under the teachings of Lok Kru Yary Livan, 1 of 2 Master Cambodian ceramists actively making.

As a Cambodian-Chinese American, I feel a responsibility to ensure our culture and traditions continue. Since then, I’ve been striving to honor Lok Kru Yary’s teachings by continuing to learn & share this knowledge.

All pieces are hand-carved with ancient traditional Khmer kbach motifs: chan flowers, fish eggs, lotus petals, stamen, & water buffalo teeth.
